Penstemon eatonii is one of many species of penstemon native to North America. Also called Firecracker Beardtongue, this particular species is native to the western portion of the US. It can be found in a variety of habitats, from roadsides to high desert, to open woodlands. The firecracker penstemon produces plentiful vibrant, red flowers along a tall spike.
